How long does it take to write a book?

My first thought was, there are so many books that people write. How long does it take? Can I create my favorite stories and publish them?

ChatGPT told me it takes around 50-70k words per book. So even, if I write a thousand a day, it will take full 50 days of work to make that. A thousand words is a lot. This post will have probably around 100-200 words maximum. And it’s freestyle writing, no structure, characters to follow, storyline or world building. It’s just a dump of my thoughts.

Is it possible to take all blog posts and make a book from it?

It’s hard. Few years ago, I was writing a lot about blockchain in Polish language. When I took all my posts about it, I created one PDF file. It was around 110 pages long. But the quality was bad in my opinion. The blog posts even on the same topic, they were not related to each other. It wasn’t like I was reading a next chapter, but rather another small book about something. It was missing links to previous chapters, some things were repeating, there was a lot of links to previous blog posts or links to some sources. Furthermore, it required a lot of redaction to make something useful from it. I don’t recommend writing a book like this. It can be a great source of knowledge for writing separate book from scratch.
